COMMON SPACE
Within the project's scope, CRL - Central Elétrica developed the COMMON SPACE in co-creation with the architect Roberto Cremascoli and the Escola Superior de Arte Design [ESAD] of Matosinhos. This is a multifunctional piece of urban furniture that we installed in Largo de São Pedro, in Porto, in the area next to the fountain behind the church, under the motto of encounter, common good, curatorship of proximity.
A space to be. A space to be with each other. A meeting space that does not have a single shape all the time. A place for conversations, sharing and other activities that we define together.
Sometimes, we forget that one of the great strengths of cities is the close cohabitation of many people, with all their experiences, stories, and connections, and that this can be very enriching for all of us if we make ourselves available to be with each other more. São Pedro de Azevedo, with something that reminds us of the spirit of the village, seemed to us that it could be the ideal place to carry out a program that places meetings, conversation and sharing knowledge at the core of motivations. COMMON SPACE presents itself as a piece of urban, multifunctional and eco-sustainable furniture.
